Harvesting from Nature's Hidden Treasure
Our journey begins deep in the heart of Bihar, India—home to the world's finest makhana.
🌟 For 4+ days, skilled farmers wade chest-deep in ponds under the blazing sun, carefully collecting seeds from thorny water lilies.
It's intense.
It's gritty.
And only the best seeds make it through.
Sun-Dried with Care
The freshly harvested seeds are then sun-dried for hours to lock in that perfect crunch.
→ Too much moisture? They won't pop.
→ Too dry? They crumble.
We get it just right, every single time.
The Roasting Ritual
Now the magic happens.
The seeds go through multiple rounds of gentle roasting.
➤ First roast in clay wok.
➤ Second roast in iron pans for that signature puff.
Fun fact: Out of 100 kg of raw seeds → only 30 kg make it to your snack pack.
